I ordered the watch from , one of a growing number of sites that allows consumers from around the world to buy deeply discounted goods from China, directly from sellers or manufacturers there. After receiving promotional emails from Wish offering bikinis for $4 (marked down from $75!), camera drones for $29 (down from $1,399!), and, for some reason, a spoon that says “My Peanut-Butter Spoon” for $1 (down from $12), I could no longer resist. I ordered the smart watch, advertised as “Hot Sell New product Q18S Smart Wrist Watch” for $18, marked down, supposedly, from $896. The product had more than 8,000 reviews in dozens of languages, averaging four stars. “Its cool I like it for the price,” read one.

Now, having put all that together in those brief moments, you have to realize that was to be implemented, to some degree, on all three levels: the local level where you would have mayors and you would have councils and you would have local judges; and then you would have it on a state level where you’d have a governor and state legislatures and state judges as well as state supreme courts; and then you would have it on the national level. Tom, part of the genius, also, was that these were not hierarchical but interdependent and accountable to each other.

  As you can see, the proposed bill would create some administration challenges, such as tracking the 2-week limitation of PFL for domestic violence reasons and the 2 additional weeks of unpaid but job-protected leave.  As drafted the bill will also require employers to pay different benefit percentages for early years based on leave reason until the benefit percentage for all leave reasons reaches 67% in 2021.  This bill, if passed, will go into effect on the January 1 following passage – so likely January 1, 2019. We hope for some amendments before passage!
